Australian fashion research
An Australian client found me on Freelancer. I turned a broad retail idea into product directions they could decide on.

An Australian client found me on Freelancer. They wanted to understand the Australian fashion retail market and decide which products to launch.
Delivered
- A 31-page report (PDF and Word) with a 13-sheet workbook.
- 14 reference products, each linked to its source, in a target price band of AUD 15-80; the 3 products outside the band are flagged separately.
- A source register: for every conclusion, the link behind it, when it was accessed, and what it does and does not prove.

Approach
- Broke the brief into five parts: market, competitors, products, sourcing routes and evidence.
- Treated bestseller badges and review counts as signals, reported separately from actual sales.
- Had several models review the work independently, kept their conclusions separate, and never settled a point by majority vote.
- When the client asked for more, I first confirmed how far it could go, then agreed.
Phase 1 covered research and direction. Supplier sourcing, quotes, samples and landed cost are planned for phase 2.
